 Imperial Leisure identified a need to create a regular forum for the creative community working in film related media to showcase new outstanding work and to network. We wanted to create a less formal and regular event that would screen the best output from that month, the purpose being for people to meet, discover each other’s work, and collaborate on new projects. www.filmfriendsforever.com Solution In April 2006 Imperial Leisure launched Film Friends Forever: a monthly event for industry professionals and enthusiasts to come and show their work, have a drink and chat in a relaxed atmosphere. The event incorporates short film screenings introduced by an emcee and the filmmakers, followed by musical programming that varies from DJs to live acts. A selection of notable performances include St Etienne, The Karminsky Experience and Shelley Parker. Musical acts are accompanied by live visuals performed by some of London’s finest vj’s which in the past have included Hexstatic, Toxi and The CoDesigner. In order to attract the cream of the industry, FFF film programming is of the highest possible standard, and previous screenings have included Oscar, BIFA and BAFTA winners. Results Film Friends Forever has established a solid presence with our packed monthly screenings attended by a combination of media professionals and enthusiasts. Sponsorship and partnerships has been secured with Epson and Halo lighting. Although the base is a physical event Film Friends Forever has a vastly growing online presence at www.filmfriendsforever.com where we supply events details, regular daily updates from the film industry as well as a podcast. www.filmfriendsforever.com
