10% of Walmart's mobile online orders are made in store

Wallmart CEO Doug McMillon stated in an interview with CNBC that 10% of its mobile online orders are made in store. Shoppers are placing orders on their mobiles if an item is out of stock or if a product is not available on display.

Mobile devices are becoming a common part of the in-store shopping experience. A study by Deloitte shows that, in the US, mobile devices helped convert nearly $600 billion in US in-store sales in 2013. Nearly half of all shoppers used mobile devices to check other retailers' prices and nearly 60% of shoppers used the apps to receive coupons.

Gangnam Style breaks YouTube

If celebrities aren’t attempting to break the internet, they ’re actually breaking YouTube. Gangnam Style, otherwise known as your favourite song of 2012, has only gone and broken YouTube’s view counter by hitting 2,147,483,647 views - a number bigger than a 32-bit integer. We can only speculate how many of those views came from repeatedly attempting to learn the dance routine.
