Sony PSP Lemmings Viral

Imperial Leisure were invited to pitch for a viral campaign to promote the release of the Lemmings title on Sony PSP. This hugely popular game is based on the idea that Lemmings are naturally suicidal creatures who would walk into their own death unless helped out by the player.

Solution

Imperial Leisure developed the idea of an interview with a Health & Safety Lemming, documenting his trials and tribulations in trying to save his fellow lemmings from impending injury or death. The viral was developed, directed, shot and animated by Imperial Leisure. We used a range of techniques in 3D and live action tracking technology to seamlessly place the lemmings in a real environment.

Results

The viral was incredibly successful and received 150,000+ views in the first 3 weeks and was in the top 10 Yahoo! video charts.
