Five favourites from the week when everyone jumped on the Fifty Shades bandwagon

By Danielle on 13 February 2015

It’s that time of week again when we pay homage to the sites, memes and digital bundles of joy that have made us smile or guffaw all over the office floor. Introducing, our five favourites from the week…

1. #ReplaceAMovieTitleWithGoat

We might be one week away from welcoming in the Year of the Sheep, but this week was firmly dedicated to the goat . In a world where hashtags can make or break you (we’re looking at you, #susanalbumparty ) we were pleasantly reminded of the sheer power that comes from asking tweeters to replace a key word in a movie title with a random animal. Our #ReplaceAMovieTitleWithGoat favourites include You’ve Goat Mail, Gone Goat and, of course, Goatbusters

2. Instagram's @hotdudesreading

Introducing Hot dudes reading , an Instagram account flooded with attractive men, literary classics and photo captions that'll make you laugh so hard your morning coffee will come shooting out your nose. In true @hotdudesreading style, this Instagram account must be straight outta fiction because it’s too good to be real.

3. Lusting over photography gadgets

Photography lovers, this one's for you. Our Junior Art Director, Ieva, has been lusting over Creative Boom's overview of the latest gadgets and gizmos for your camera. Her favourite? The SnapCam of course. Otherwise known as the 1.5 inch square camera that attaches to your clothes with a clip or magnet.

4. The popcorn machine of your dreams

It’s Saturday night, you’re donning your finest jammies and just about to curl up under a blanket to watch your favourite movie when suddenly, something hits you. You don't have a Popcorn Monsoon machine. Inspired by the great Willy Wonka, this ultra-swish popcorn machine fires popcorn directly through a see-through tube and straight into your bowl. A beautifully useless invention that we can't help but want right now.

5. Ghostly watercolour cats

We’re a little bit in love with just how fluffy these cat watercolours by Serbian artist Endre Penovác are. His style, technique and use of stark black colours are otherworldly. And quite frankly, they look so fluffy we could die.
