A Celebration for Ellie Goulding's 1M Fans


We developed a Facebook competition to celebrate Ellie Goulding reaching 1M fans on Facebook. The competition is driven by a Facebook application which keeps track of Ellie's fan count. To engage all the fans we structured the competition into to phases; first, fans have to activate the competition by liking Ellie's page, second when Ellie reaches 1M fans first 1,000 fans to enter the prize draw. The prize on offer was flight tickets for two to London, two nights' stay in a hotel, a meet and greet with Ellie and Somerset House gig tickets - a great money can't buy offer. We offered additional prizes to those who invited their friends to the competition.
